Activism is one of the defining features of Cel Fosc. Membership of the association entails promoting and supporting initiatives aimed at protecting the night from light pollution while safeguarding nocturnal wildlife, human health, and the right of present and future generations to experience natural darkness.To this end, Cel Fosc develops public awareness campaigns, contributes to legislative and regulatory processes, collaborates with public authorities, and works in partnership with environmental and scientific organisations to integrate the protection of the night sky into broader environmental policies and conservation strategies.Protecting the night requires an informed and engaged society capable of translating scientific knowledge into collective action and effective public policy .
